KARAN ERRY

Karan Erry is a Staff Software Engineer at Turo, where he helps power the world’s largest car-sharing marketplace. Since joining in 2022, he’s played a key role in scaling critical parts of the platform—from building travel-agency integrations to overhauling the booking flow—always with an eye toward creating smooth, reliable experiences for millions of drivers and hosts around the world.

Before Turo, Karan engineered backend systems at Ridecell, supporting mobility services in production environments. Beyond work, he’s passionate about using technology to make a difference—founding Project Shunya to improve literacy and hygiene education for underserved children in India.

Dr. Daniel XU

Daniel Xu, Ph.D., is an Applied Scientist at Amazon, where he leverages advanced machine learning and data science techniques to drive real-world impact at scale. His work sits at the intersection of intelligent systems, human decision-making, and cybersecurity, reflecting a unique blend of technical rigor and human-centered research.

With a dual background in computer science and business, Daniel brings a holistic perspective to building applied AI systems that are both technically sophisticated and operationally impactful.

CHAD Beaulac

Chad Beaulac brings over two decades of hands-on experience architecting and scaling cloud systems across both public and private sectors. Currently a Principal Engineer at Varonis, Chad leads critical engineering initiatives spanning product development, security, and executive strategy. His expertise includes AWS, Kubernetes, serverless architectures, and automated DevOps pipelines, with a particular focus on cloud-hybrid solutions and data security posture management. A passionate technologist and educator, he’s contributed open-source tooling in Rust and Terraform, and is known for translating cutting-edge cloud practices into pragmatic, scalable solutions.

Dr. Keith TRNKA

Keith Trnka, PhD, brings over 20 years of experience in machine learning, ranging from healthcare innovations at 98point6 to mobile technology at Swype and Nuance. His diverse background spans industries, company sizes, and types of machine learning, offering a unique perspective on both research and applied AI.

Kyler Johnson

Kyler is a Sr. Principal Software Engineer and Linux enthusiast with 10 years of experience delivering and maintaining software from start-up to enterprise scale. Specializing in .NET and JavaScript/Typescript web technologies, Kyler is comfortable working across the stack, from database design and API/service layer to the UI.

Kyler is currently focused on building next-gen cyber security tools and enjoys creating written and video content about web tech and delivering value as a developer.

Dr. Emily Hill

Dr. Emily Hill is the Founder of Elev8 Tek, where she’s on a mission to train the next generation of elite software innovators—the developers who don’t just keep up with technology but shape its future. A former Computer Science professor turned entrepreneur, Emily blends two decades of academic expertise with real-world startup experience to create programs that bridge AI, cloud, security, and app innovation.

After earning three degrees in Computer Science (including a Ph.D. from the University of Delaware) and publishing over 50 research papers, Emily spent years directing university programs and teaching software engineering before stepping beyond academia to build TechJoy Career Academy. Her unique internship model has helped students land roles at Amazon, Chase, and leading startups—even during record tech layoffs.

Today, through Elev8 Tek and the Tek Innov8rs Program, Emily connects top talent with industry mentors from IBM, Meta, and high-growth startups, guiding them through intensive sprints that transform strong coders into world-class innovators.

A mom of five, former professor, and lifelong builder, Emily brings a rare mix of intellectual rigor, heart, and entrepreneurial grit to everything she does. Her work is driven by a simple belief: the future belongs to those who innovate boldly—and it starts by giving the right people the launchpad to do it.
